Shape the Success of Major Infrastructure Projects

United Living Infrastructure is delivering some of the UK's most complex infrastructure projects. As our portfolio continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Project Interface Manager to play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful coordination and delivery of programme-critical activities across our projects.

This is an opportunity to join a high-performing team where you'll work across multiple disciplines, bringing together internal teams, clients, designers, subcontractors and external stakeholders to ensure projects progress safely, efficiently and on programme.

The Role

As Interface Manager, you'll take ownership of managing critical interfaces across Design communication process , Document control process , Project completion process . Your focus will be on identifying dependencies, resolving constraints , stakeholder management, developing robust processes, and ensuring all information required for compliance and delivery is controlled, communicated and actioned by the relevant party

You'll act as the central point of coordination, Design and Documentation risks are identified early, responsibilities are clearly defined and stakeholders remain aligned throughout the project lifecycle.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop and maintain the Interface Management Plan and Interface Register.
  • Lead interface meetings, driving actions through to resolution and removing blockers.
  • Define package boundaries, responsibilities, dependencies and handover arrangements.
  • Coordinate with internal support departments to ensure process, accountability and responsibility is understood .
  • Manage interfaces between United Living Infrastructure, clients, designers, subcontractors, statutory authorities and other delivery partners.
  • Monitor interface risks, assumptions, decisions and changes, ensuring they are effectively managed , communicated, actioned and closed.
  • Escalate issues with clear recommendations and practical mitigation plans.
  • Coordinate with other departments to establish positive synergies.
  • Produce regular reports highlighting interface risks, key decisions, upcoming milestones and constraints.
  • Capture lessons learned and continuously improve interface management processes across future project phases.

About You

You'll be an organised and proactive professional with experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams on large infrastructure projects. You'll be confident working with a wide range of stakeholders, able to challenge constructively and skilled at keeping complex challenges moving forward.

You'll also have

  • Significant experience managing interfaces on major infrastructure, utilities or civil engineering projects.
  • Experience working collaboratively with clients, contractors, designers, statutory authorities and third parties.
  • A strong understanding of programme management, construction readiness, risk management, governance and change control.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.

It Would Be Great If You Also Have

  • Experience within electricity transmission and distribution, overhead lines or other regulated infrastructure sectors.
  • Experience working under NEC contracts and with project controls systems.
  • Experience supporting projects from design development through to construction delivery.
