About The Role

Job Summary

Molina Population Health works with members, providers and multidisciplinary Molina teams, including Healthcare Services, Quality, Provider Networking, and Finance, along with community-based organizations and other stakeholders to bring population health strategies to members. The LTSS Support Specialist will support the Population Health team to operationalize the new In Lieu of Services (ILOS) benefit for Michigan Medicaid members.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Provide non-clinical operational support for Molina Healthcare of Michigan’s In Lieu of Service (ILOS) program in alignment with the scope of work identified in the health plan’s contract and ILOS implementation plan.
  • Collaborates with Molina Care Managers, Utilization Management, Healthcare Services (HCS), and Provider Network teams to support ILOS service delivery as appropriate, including responding to questions as point of contact for Molina’s ILOS workflow and member service delivery.
  • Supports Population Health team’s engagement with community-based organizations and ILOS providers, including triaging issues and providing timely responses to questions.
  • Responsible for documentation and data entry of ILOS utilization, including monitoring referral volume and tracking service delivery at the member and plan level.
  • Managing tracking and distribution of produce prescription vouchers.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
  • Attend internal meetings and outreach meetings as assigned.
  • Other administrative functions as needed.
  • Local travel - 15-20% of the time.
  • Candidate must be based in Michigan.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 1 year experience in an administrative support role in health care, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • An associate's degree in a health-related field may be required in certain states (dependent upon state/contractual requirements).
  • Ability to handle multiple work tasks, prioritize and problem-solve.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Microsoft Office suite/applicable software program(s) proficiency.

Preferred Experience

  • 3+ years' experience in an administrative support role in healthcare.
  • 2 years Medicaid experience preferred and/or Managed Care experience.
  • Experience or knowledge of Michigan food economy is a plus.
  • Fluency of second language highly desired.
