What you’ll do
This role is ideally suited to an experienced Project Manager with a strong technical background and a passion for front-end project development.
You'll work closely with mining clients, technical leads and project teams to define study scopes, manage budgets and schedules, coordinate multidisciplinary inputs, and ensure high-quality outcomes that support major investment decisions.
- Lead the planning and delivery of mining studies ranging from concept and scoping studies through to pre-feasibility and feasibility phases, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule and within budget.
- Establish and manage study scope, schedules, budgets, resourcing plans and project governance requirements, maintaining a strong focus on commercial performance and client outcomes.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering, technical and project delivery teams, providing leadership and direction throughout the study lifecycle.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building trusted relationships and providing regular updates on study progress, risks, opportunities and key decisions.
- Facilitate project workshops, risk reviews, value engineering sessions and stakeholder engagement activities to support successful study outcomes.
- Manage project controls including change management, forecasting, risk management, reporting and financial performance.
- Lead project governance activities, including stage-gate reviews, executive reporting and quality assurance processes.
About you
- Proven experience managing engineering projects, studies or multidisciplinary programs within the mining and resources sector.
- Demonstrated success delivering studies from concept through to feasibility, with responsibility for scope, budget, schedule and stakeholder management.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles, study delivery methodologies and engineering consulting environments.
- Well-developed commercial acumen, including project forecasting, risk management and financial performance management.
- Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence outcomes and build long-term partnerships.
- Background in mining, minerals processing, infrastructure or sustaining capital projects, gained within consulting, owner-side or EPCM environments.
- Excellent communication, leadership and facilitation skills, with the ability to navigate competing priorities and drive alignment across teams.
- Degree qualification in Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline.
