Major Accountabilities

  • Collective Bargaining Support:Assist in preparing for collective bargaining negotiations by collecting data, drafting proposals, and analyzing union demands. Provide logistical and research support during negotiation sessions and aid in implementing and communicating the terms of collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) to relevant stakeholders.
  • Grievance and Dispute Resolution:Offer initial advice and assist HRBPs in the early stages of the grievance process, including documentation, investigation, and initial resolution efforts. Aid in preparing for mediation and arbitration cases by compiling evidence.
  • Compliance Oversight:Help develop and update labor relations policies and procedures. Monitor adherence to CBAs and company policies, report any violations to the Labor Relations or HR Manager.
  • Employee Relations Improvement:Support in developing and implementing Employee Relations initiatives aimed at enhancing employee engagement.
  • Training and Education Support:Assist in creating and facilitating training programs for management and employees on labor relations topics. Develop educational materials and digital resources to support labor relations initiatives.
  • Data Analytics and Reporting:Collect and analyze labor relations-related data such as grievance trends, arbitration & negotiation outcomes, and employee satisfaction metrics. Prepare regular reports for the Labor Relations Manager and other stakeholders on labor relations activities and emerging issues.
  • Union Relations:Maintain communication with union shop representatives in collaboration with HRBPs to nurture positive relationships. Assist in discussing labor issues and proposing solutions for day-to-day matters.
  • Special Projects Collaboration:Collaborate with other departments, such as HR and Legal, on special projects related to labor relations, such as policy reviews, compliance audits, reports, communication plans, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • General Labor Relations Support:Manage and execute projects and tasks assigned by the Labor Relations Manager to aid in achieving department objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in Labor Relations, Employee Relations, or HR preferred.
  • Good understanding of Korean labor laws and employment regulations.
  • Experience or knowledge of collective bargaining and union relations preferred.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive employee relations matters with appropriate confidentiality.
