Location: Hybrid, Bedford 2-days per week

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 + annual company performance related bonus up to 20%, 25 days annual + bank holidays, private medical cover, employer pension contribution up to 10%

Are you a highly analytical planner who enjoys working with data to drive operational performance? We're looking for a Resource Planning Analyst to play a key role in ensuring we have the right resources, in the right place, at the right time to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Working closely with our Planning, Operations, Forecasting and People teams, you'll use workforce data and operational insights to optimise technician capacity, improve productivity and support effective decision-making across the business.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with large datasets and influencing operational performance through data-driven recommendations.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Analyse workforce, productivity and operational performance data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain resource plans that optimise technician utilisation while ensuring customer demand is met.
  • Monitor planned versus actual hours, productivity and utilisation, providing insight and recommendations to improve performance.
  • Support short and long-term capacity planning aligned to forecasted demand.
  • Produce regular reporting and performance dashboards covering labour utilisation, productivity, technician output and operational efficiency.
  • Investigate drivers of underperformance and identify opportunities to improve capacity and resource deployment.
  • Support scenario planning and "what if" modelling to assess the impact of forecast changes and business initiatives.
  • Manage technician rosters, working patterns and skill profiles to maximise operational effectiveness.
  • Ensure workforce plans comply with Working Time Regulations, company policies and contractual obligations.
  • Work collaboratively with Operational Managers and key stakeholders to provide planning expertise and resource recommendations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance planning capability, reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor overtime usage and recommend cost-effective workforce solutions.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who combines strong analytical capability with excellent stakeholder management skills.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience working within Workforce Management (WFM) systems, ideally UKG/Kronos.
  • Good understanding of workforce planning, resource planning and forecasting principles.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyse, manipulate and present data effectively.
  • Experience using Power Query for data transformation, automation and reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
  • Strong planning, organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confident communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

Desirable

  • Experience using Salesforce.
  • Experience using Power BI or similar business intelligence and reporting tools.
  • Experience producing operational performance reporting and dashboards.
