Who could you be at GHD?

In Brisbane, our Project Management team is on the lookout for our next Assistant Project Manager in 2027! Based out of our Brisbane or Gold Coast office, and with a degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline, your passion for delivering complex projects and working with diverse stakeholders will set you up for success in this role.

  • Assist Project Managers in the delivery of a diverse portfolio of infrastructure, buildings, and development projects.
  • Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordination activities to help ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Contribute to stakeholder engagement, project governance, risk management, and project reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including scopes, reports, meeting minutes, procurement documentation, and progress updates.
  • Support contract administration and project controls, including tracking deliverables, milestones, and project performance.
  • Develop an understanding of project management frameworks, industry best practices, and GHD's project delivery processes.

Our two-year Graduate Development Program is designed to give you a smooth start to your consulting career. Alongside your peers, managers and mentors, we’ll help you detangle any challenges along the way. You’ll work collaboratively with peers across other disciplines within GHD, as well as with our clients, and connect across the business to share insights, knowledge and improve your overall technical capabilities.

Here’s what to expect, step by step

  • Virtual Assessments: If you make it through the first stage, you’ll record some answers to a few straightforward questions and complete some cognitive games. This helps us get a better sense of your work style and alignment to GHD Graduate roles.
  • Meet the team: If you’re successful, you’ll have a face-to-face interview (wherever possible) with your prospective team. We’ll chat through some behavioural based questions to learn more about your skills and experience. It’s also a chance for you to get to know us!
  • Offer: Congratulations! We’ll talk through all the finer details, like salary, your start date, our onboarding process and what to expect before your first day.
