Communication Manager

About the role

As the Communication Manager in the Tech Communication & Employee Experience Department, you will play a key role in managing external communication and strengthening If’s presence as a technology employer, while also supporting internal communication and community-building activities across our Global If Tech Community.

You will work with PR, employer branding, external and internal tech initiatives and events, closely collaborating with tech leaders, HR, marketing, L&D, communication colleagues across the Baltics and Nordics, as well as external partners. This role offers an exciting opportunity to combine strategic communication with hands on execution and to have an impact on how If is represented externally and how our tech community connects internally.

What are you going to do?

• Develop and implement PR and external communication activities, including media relations, blog articles, expert content, and other external communication initiatives
• Work on initiatives that strengthen the visibility and positioning of If Tech Community, our leaders and ambassadors as trusted voices on relevant technology, leadership, and workplace topics
• Plan and execute If’s external presence at industry events and tech communities, including conferences and speaker activities
• Support social media communication related to your projects
• Manage sponsorship and partnership projects across the Baltics and Nordics
• Plan and execute internal Tech Community initiatives across If offices globally, bringing our tech colleagues together and strengthening the community through events and other activities
• Support leadership communication across our global Tech organization through forums, conferences, and other initiatives that bring leaders together
• Create and support internal communication and engagement around Tech Community initiatives

What do we expect from you?

Must have

• Previous work experience in communications, PR, media relations or a similar field (at least 5 years) and a higher education degree
• Excellent writing and editing skills in English and Latvian are a must for this position to communicate with clients and colleagues in other countries
• You are strong in communication, project and stakeholder management, and you are comfortable taking ownership
• You are confident working with different audiences - from tech specialists and community members to senior leaders, journalists, and external partners

Nice to have

• Preferably, you have worked in an international company and have experience with IT or technology-related communication projects.
