Project Planning and Execution

  • Lead assigned projects from internal handover and kickoff through final acceptance, handover and closure.
  • Develop and maintain the Project Execution Plan, integrated schedule, resource plan, cost baseline and delivery strategy.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, cost, quality and delivery in accordance with contractual requirements and Honeywell processes.
  • Coordinate engineering, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, testing, field execution and commissioning activities.
  • Drive milestone achievement, team accountability and timely resolution of execution issues.

Financial and Commercial Management

  • Own project financial performance, including revenue, billing, delivered margin, cash-flow support and cost performance.
  • Maintain accurate project forecasts, budgets and Estimate at Completion (EAC).
  • Monitor milestone payments, receivables, rebates, warranty exposure and other project financial commitments.
  • Identify cost, productivity and margin-improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions when performance deviates from plan.
  • Protect Honeywell commercial interests while maintaining constructive customer relationships.

Customer and Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary customer-facing representative for assigned projects.
  • Establish project governance and lead periodic customer and internal project reviews.
  • Maintain clear, timely communication on status, milestones, risks, decisions and required actions.
  • Manage expectations, address escalations and drive customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional and geographically distributed stakeholders.

Risk, Opportunity and Change Management

  • Identify, assess and manage project risks and opportunities throughout execution.
  • Develop mitigation, contingency and recovery plans and track actions to closure.
  • Conduct regular Risk and Opportunity reviews and escalate material exposures appropriately.
  • Lead the change-management process, including identification, impact assessment, documentation, approval, negotiation and implementation of scope changes.
  • Ensure approved changes are reflected in project scope, schedule, cost and forecast.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting

  • Monitor project health using applicable project management tools, controls and review mechanisms.
  • Prepare and present project status, schedule, financial forecast, risk and executive review information.
  • Track project KPIs and initiate recovery actions where required.
  • Complete project closure activities, capture lessons learned and share relevant best practices.

Sales and Business Support

  • Participate in sales-to-project handover, contract review and execution strategy alignment.
  • Identify potential new business opportunities during project execution and communicate them to the appropriate sales stakeholders.
  • Support proposal reviews, site surveys, Front End Engineering & Design (FEED), Project Execution Plan development and risk assessments when requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

You Must Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (Electrical/Electronics/Computer Science is preferable).
  • 8+ years experience in industrial automation, process control, digital solutions or complex engineering project execution.
  • Project management experience in a customer-facing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk and stakeholder expectations.
  • Working knowledge of automation control-system project lifecycles, including engineering, system testing, field activities and commissioning.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

We Value

  • PMP or an equivalent project management certification.
  • MBA, PGDM or a master’s degree in management or engineering.
  • Experience with Distributed Control Systems, Safety Systems, HMI, process instrumentation and third-party system integration.
  • Experience in industries such as Oil & Gas, Refining, Petrochemicals, Chemicals, Power, Metals or Life Sciences.
  • Commercial acumen, contract management and change-order experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Primavera or comparable project planning and controls tools.
  • Ability to influence and deliver results in a matrixed organization.
  • Self-motivation, ownership and the ability to operate effectively with limited supervision.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • The position is based in Pune, India under Honeywell Automation India Limited.
  • The role may require domestic or international travel for customer meetings, project reviews, factory acceptance tests and site activities.
  • The successful candidate should be comfortable working in a dynamic, customer-focused and fast-paced project environment.
