Overview Physical Therapy Assistant (LTAC) travel assignment in Canaan, Connecticut. Start date 08/31/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $1,718 to $1,794 per week. Guaranteed hours: 35 per week. Shift: 5x8 Days (08:00–16:30). Setting: long-term care/ nursing home environment delivering LTAC level therapy services. Key Highlights - Weekly pay: $1,718–$1,794 per week - Guaranteed hours: 35 per week - Contract duration: 13 weeks - Shift: 5x8 Days with daytime hours - Start date: 08/31/2026 - Setting: LTAC-focused long-term care/nursing home environment - Travel assignment status: temporary assignment Responsibilities - Provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed PT, executing components of the treatment plan. - Lead and assist with therapeutic exercises, gait training, ROM, strength, balance, and functional activities. - Administer modalities and assistive devices as trained, while maintaining patient safety and infection control protocols. - Monitor patient progress, document responses to interventions, and communicate changes to the physical therapy team. - Prepare treatment environments and equipment, ensure safety, and support discharge planning across the interdisciplinary team. Requirements - Licensure: State-specific Physical Therapy Assistant license; specifics governed by Job Notes and assignment location. - Education: Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program. - Experience: LTAC or long-term care experience preferred. - Availability: Ability to work the specified shift (08:00–16:30) on a 5x8 schedule. - Travel eligibility: Able to participate in a travel assignment as described.
