Industrial Maintenance Technician
About the Role
We are hiring an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment in a specialty steel manufacturing environment.
This is a primarily electrical maintenance position, and we're specifically looking for someone with hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing high-voltage electrical systems and industrial machinery.
Candidates with additional experience in welding, fabrication, hydraulics, and pneumatics are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and replace industrial equipment
- Perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs, including high-voltage systems
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues to minimize equipment downtime
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production machinery
- Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Inspect equipment and identify potential maintenance or safety issues
- Perform equipment safety inspections as required
- Assist with welding, fabrication, and equipment repairs as needed
- Work with machinery such as lathes, milling machines, and other industrial equipment
- Support maintenance of equipment used for production and testing
- Replace electrical, mechanical, and other equipment components as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all PPE, OSHA, and plant safety procedures
- Perform other maintenance duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required
- 1–2+ years of industrial maintenance experience
- Strong electrical maintenance and troubleshooting experience
- High-voltage electrical experience strongly preferred/required
- Experience diagnosing and repairing industrial machinery
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to safely work around industrial electrical equipment
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to read and follow technical instructions and procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred
- Welding experience
- Fabrication experience
- Hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting
- Experience with lathes or milling machines
- Specialty steel, metal manufacturing, machining, or heavy industrial experience
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to
- 75 pounds periodically
- Ability to push, pull, carry, reach, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods
- Ability to work around industrial machinery and equipment
- Ability to perform hands-on repairs and maintenance
- Ability to wear all required PPE
