Retail Banking Services (RBS) is the public face of CommBank, delivering a seamless banking experience for the future, to our 10 million + personal and small business customers. We offer market-leading products and services, supported by some of the world's best systems and processes. Within RBS, the Consumer Finance Domain is responsible for end-to-end P&L management, product design, credit risk, acquisition & portfolio management and customer experience for Consumer Spending and Consumer Lending.

The Consumer Spending Crew has end-to-end responsibility for the Commonwealth Bank retail Credit Cards and our key consumer spending propositions. We consist of squads that look after the development of the consumer spending products, acquisition, the growth of our portfolio, our loyalty program and end-to-end process improvement.

Within the Value Cards Product stream, the team is responsible for the ongoing management and performance of CommBank's value credit card propositions. This includes product performance, pricing, customer communications, governance, controls and customer outcomes, working across the broader Consumer Spending ecosystem to deliver sustainable value for customers and the bank.

As the Product Manager for Value Cards, you will support the delivery of key product priorities by progressing initiatives across product performance, pricing, customer communications, governance and portfolio insights. You will help turn priorities into well-managed outcomes, balancing customer needs, risk obligations and commercial considerations.

You will work closely with Product, Technology, Risk, Operations, Analytics, Finance, Legal and delivery partners to manage dependencies, support decisions and keep priorities moving at pace.

What you'll drive

Product delivery and execution

  • Progress Value Cards initiatives across product performance, pricing, customer communications, governance, controls and customer outcomes
  • Coordinate product activity and dependencies to support timely, well-managed delivery of agreed priorities
  • Translate product priorities into clear requirements, actions and stakeholder updates

Pricing and proposition support

  • Support pricing reviews, proposition changes and customer impact assessments
  • Coordinate communication and implementation planning for pricing and proposition changes
  • Use customer, risk and commercial considerations to support recommendations and decision-making

Customer communications, issues and governance

  • Coordinate clear, accurate and timely customer communications across product changes, pricing updates and issue resolution
  • Support investigation and delivery activity for product issues, incidents and remediation, escalating risks and decisions as required

Insights and cross-functional coordination

  • Use portfolio data, customer insights and performance trends to support recommendations, prioritisation and decision-making
  • Work across Product, Technology, Risk, Operations, Analytics, Finance, Legal and delivery partners to manage dependencies and progress outcomes

We're looking for

  • Experience in product management or a related role, ideally within financial services or another regulated environment
  • Strong customer outcome focus, with an understanding of how product decisions, pricing, communications and issues impact customers
  • Strong delivery discipline with the ability to manage detail, coordinate workstreams and keep priorities moving at pace
  • Analytical thinking and confidence using data, insights and business information to support clear recommendations
  • Good understanding of governance, controls, issue management and remediation in a regulated environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex product activity into clear updates, requirements and stakeholder materials
  • Confidence working across teams and building effective relationships to deliver shared outcomes
  • Ability to balance customer, risk and commercial considerations when supporting product decisions

What success looks like

  • Value Cards priorities are progressed with clear ownership, disciplined delivery and strong stakeholder coordination
  • Pricing and proposition changes are supported by robust analysis, customer impact assessment and clear implementation planning
  • Customer communications are clear, accurate, timely and support positive customer outcomes
  • Product issues, incidents and remediation activity are well managed, with risks and decisions escalated appropriately
  • Portfolio data and customer insights inform prioritisation, recommendations and decision-making
  • Strong governance and control outcomes are embedded across product activity
