About Us
ProQuip Engineering Sales Ltd is a leading supplier and service specialist for industrial fluid handling and paint finishing systems in Ireland. Operating from our dedicated Dublin 12 facility, we service, overhaul, and repair top-tier industrial spray equipment for painting contractors, furniture, industrial, and automotive finishes.
Role Overview
We are seeking a workshop-based Mechanic / Service Technician to diagnose, service, overhaul, and repair industrial fluid handling and paint spraying equipment (e.g., Graco, Wagner, Titan, Kremlin).
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnostics: Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and electric faults on paint spraying pumps, guns, and fluid equipment brought into the workshop.
- Repair & Overhaul: Strip down machines, replace worn fluid sections, seals, packings, and valves, and rebuild to factory specs.
- Testing: Quality-test all repaired units using high-pressure mediums to ensure stable delivery and safety before customer pickup.
- Documentation: Maintain clear bench service records and log parts required for invoicing and inventory management.
- Workshop Upkeep: Keep workshop tools, testing bays, and communal repair areas clean, safe, and organized.
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience: Mechanical or technical experience in a related field is highly preferred. Backgrounds in tool hire fitting, fluid handling, pneumatic pumps, hydraulics, small engine repair, or automotive mechanics translate perfectly.
Technical Skill: Strong mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of pneumatic valves, seals, and gaskets.
Problem Solving: Ability to read technical drawings and parts schematics to troubleshoot equipment.
Communication: Fluent English to communicate effectively with the workshop team and front-office staff.
