About The Role

Gritter Francona is looking for a Senior Programmer to support the development, enhancement, testing, and maintenance of web-based and client-server applications within a federal environment. The position will work closely with project managers, business leads, and end users to define requirements, develop solutions, resolve system issues, and implement technology enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, modify, test, and implement web-based applications, client-server applications, and operating system scripts.
Develop applications using Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) and Structured Query Language (SQL).
Integrate Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) software into existing systems and architectures.
Analyze system requirements and design new or enhanced application functionality.
Work with users and stakeholders to define requirements and develop program specifications.
Plan, document, code, test, and implement computer programs in accordance with established Systems Development Methodologies.
Develop test conditions and test data, analyze test results, and coordinate system and user acceptance testing.
Analyze and resolve application and production problems.
Research and evaluate new technologies and programming solutions.
Support multiple concurrent project requests and application enhancements.
Assist with the development and maintenance of data and process models.
Develop and maintain technical and program documentation.
Support work planning, project organization, schedules, milestones, deliverables, and dependencies.
Provide project status information related to schedule, cost, performance, risks, and technical issues.
Collaborate with Project Managers, workstream sponsors, business leads, technical teams, and end users.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
8 years of professional programming and application development experience.
Strong experience with SQL and relational database environments.
Experience developing and modifying web-based and client-server applications.
Experience with application testing, troubleshooting, and production support.
Experience with Systems Development Methodologies and software development lifecycle processes.
Experience gathering requirements and working directly with business users.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a complex federal environment.
