Stock Room/Inventory Clerk

About The Role

Seeking an individual to become an important member of the Inventory team, monitoring inventory levels and replenishing stock as needed. The Stock Room Clerk is responsible for developing and implementing inventory control systems and practices, coordinating the logistics of purchase orders, stock transfers, Inventory tagging, and processing, reporting to management and advising on process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pulling parts for build to stock work orders and issuing materials.
  • Stocking departments with needed supplies and making stock transfers of inventory.
  • Ordering low inventory, when required, including stock items, office supplies, maintenance supplies, installation tools and supplies, production supplies and packing supplies.
  • Issuing material to GL codes to keep inventory accurate for budgetary tracking.
  • Review and confirm incoming, purchased supplies to make sure items were received in correct location, adjusting location in system (as needed) and stocking accurately.
  • Put stock build WIP away and receive to proper location in system.
  • Conduct month-end cycle counts of Cardboard and packing supplies, paint supplies and office supplies, ordering any items with low quantity.
  • Pull job related items, including conduit and UTS and HPH hardware for BBX and stage. Complete all operations in system to issue material and show work complete.
  • When required, pull consignment material from shelf, deliver to production and fill out purchase requisition for purchasing to process order.

  • Possess fundamental math skills.
  • Comprehend written and verbal instructions.
  • Communicate using good oral and written skills.
  • Ability to organize work, set priorities, and respond to deadlines in a timely manner.
  • Must be able to demonstrate initiative and motivation to work both individually and within a team.

Education

High School Diploma

Work Environment

Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moderate noise, machinery, and moving parts. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

  • Frequently lifts items weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Anything over 40 pounds may require assistance.
