Registered Nurse, Day Hospital, Part Time Days, Pediatrics, Atlantic Health, Morristown Medical Center

This is a part time (22.5 hours/week) on-site role for a bedside nurse in the Day Hospital, a unit for same day procedures across the lifespan and infusions for children.

Responsible for working with other healthcare professionals to help treat patients across the lifespan in infusion and pre- and post-procedure phases of care. Monitors patients, administers medications, keeps records, consults with healthcare providers, educates patients and more.

Principal Accountabilities

1. Maintains accurate, complete health care records and reports.
2. Administers medications to patients and monitors them for side effects and reactions.
3. Prescribes assistive medical devices and related treatments.
4. Monitors, reports, and records symptoms or changes in patient conditions.
5. Assesses, implements, plans, or evaluates patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members.
6. Records patient vital signs and medical information.
7. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required

1. Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
2. Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
3. BLS certification.
4. 1-3 years of pediatric nursing and IV experience.

Preferred

1. Perioperative and critical care experience preferred.
2. Certification in area of specialty preferred.
3. PALS and ACLS certification preferred.
4. 5 years registered nurse experience.
