About The Role

Reports to the General Manager The Finance Director is responsible for leading the finance function of KMTR and ensuring the company's financial integrity, performance, and long-term sustainability. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Finance Director provides strategic financial leadership while overseeing accounting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, taxation, procurement support, internal controls, and statutory compliance across the concession. The Finance Director acts as a trusted business partner to the General Manager, supporting operational and strategic decision-making while ensuring compliance with shareholder requirements, applicable regulations, and corporate governance standards. In addition to the Finance scope, the Finance Director will have overall responsibility for Administrative Services, , office administration, corporate services, and all administrative matters required to support the efficient operation of the concession. Financial Leadership : Define and implement the company's financial strategy in line with business objectives. Advise the General Manager on financial planning, investment decisions, and business performance. Support the Executive Team in strategic decision-making. Lead the relations with local tax administrations. Financial Planning & Performance : Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning. Monitor financial performance through KPIs and management reporting. Drive cost optimization and financial efficiency initiatives. Accounting, Treasury & Compliance : Ensure accurate financial reporting and statutory compliance. Oversee treasury, cash flow, working capital, and tax management. Ensure robust internal controls, audit readiness, and risk management. Stakeholder Management : Manage relationships with banks, auditors, tax authorities, shareholders, and external advisors. Support financing activities and reporting requirements. Team Leadership : Lead, develop, and mentor the Finance team. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and business partnership.

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on finance leader with extensive experience managing finance functions in complex infrastructure or industrial environments. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with sound business judgment and the ability to operate effectively in a cross-border environment. Education : Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred. Experience : 12+ years of progressive finance leadership experience. Proven experience in infrastructure, transport, mining, energy, or PPP projects. Mandatory experience in Central Africa, ideally in the DRC and/or Zambia. Strong experience in financial planning, treasury, reporting, and internal controls. Experience working with international shareholders, auditors, lenders, and government authorities. Skills & Competencies : Financial strategy and business partnering IFRS and financial reporting Budgeting, forecasting, and treasury management Corporate governance and risk management Strong analytical and decision-making skills Leadership, integrity, and stakeholder management Excellent communication and decision-making skills in French & English.
