Honeywell Connected Enterprise is leading the industrial digital transformation by connecting assets, people and processes through advanced software, AI and analytics solutions. We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist / Algorithm Engineer to develop next-generation AI, machine learning, optimisation and control algorithms for building automation and energy management applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and optimise advanced AI, machine learning, forecasting, optimisation and control algorithms.
- Develop mathematical models, simulations, digital twins and predictive analytics solutions using Python and MATLAB.
- Analyse large-scale operational and industrial IoT datasets. Integrate algorithms into operational platforms and customer-facing products.
- Develop scalable microservices and deploy AI/ML solutions into cloud and edge environments.
- Mentor engineers and promote data science best practices.
- As a Senior Data Scientist, you will join a high-performing, global team, and assist with designing, developing, and deploying data driven solutions for all Honeywell business groups and functions.
- You will work closely with application architects to integrate results into operational platforms including containerized microservices and distributed compute and storage architectures.
- Additionally, the Senior Data Scientist role is expected to work within Honeywell to identify opportunities for new growth and efficiencies based on data analyses both in adjacencies based on previous engagements, as well as larger industry developments.
- Develop: data modeling, mining, pattern analysis, data visualization and machine learning solutions to address customer needs
- Foster: relationships with business team members by being proactive, displaying a thorough understanding of the business processes and by recommending innovative solutions
- Communicate: project output in terms of customer value, business objectives, and product opportunity
- Promote: data science methods and processes across functions
- Work: with our businesses and infrastructure teams to develop a strategy that will clearly outline how our enterprise platforms can enable business growth & productivity
Must Have
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Applied Mathematics or related discipline.
- 7+ years of experience in Data Science, Cloud technologies, Machine Learning, Applied AI, Advanced Analytics or Algorithm Development.
- 5+ years of hands-on software development experience using Python.
- 3+ years of experience using MATLAB for modelling, simulation, optimisation and algorithm development.
- 3+ years of experience developing predictive analytics, optimisation, forecasting or advanced control system solutions.
- Experience developing and deploying machine learning solutions into production environments.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, version control and software engineering best practices.
- Experience with distributed computing and data processing platforms such as Spark.
- Strong foundation in statistics, machine learning, optimisation and mathematical modelling.

- Experience developing digital twin solutions and simulation frameworks.

- Experience developing NLP, computer vision, image analytics or deep learning solutions.
- Experience with Azure Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes and MLOps platforms.
- Experience with SQL, Tableau and modern analytics platforms.
- Experience working with geographically distributed engineering teams.
