About The Role

The Territory Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, delivering exceptional retail execution, and building strong relationships across an assigned territory of retail locations within a major consumer electronics retailer. This role acts as both a sales leader and brand ambassador—empowering store teams through impactful product training, real-time sales support, and strategic partnership building.

Territory Managers manage and support retail stores within a geographic district, including key outlier stores in smaller adjacent markets. This is a foundational role on the program—you will be expected to build deep in-store relationships, train retail associates at all levels, drive customer-facing selling events, and serve as a mentor and coach to seasonal team members. You will also analyze your territory to optimize visit frequency and coverage, ensuring every store visit creates a measurable impact.

This position reports to the Senior Program Manager.

  • Execute strategic store visits to review sales results, identify opportunities, and align with retail teams on priorities.
  • Support retail teams with hands-on sales assist and product demonstrations on the floor.
  • Own territory-level KPIs and performance targets, proactively identifying and closing gaps.
  • Plan and execute customer-facing selling events (e.g., weekend engagements, product demonstrations) as a regular part of the territory strategy to drive direct sales impact.
  • Develop creative in-store activations and events that generate excitement and drive higher overall sales for the brand.

Training & Sales Enablement

  • Deliver in-store and virtual product training for all levels of retail associates—from sales floor staff to store and district leadership.

  • Orchestrate marketplace trainings targeting higher-level managers who can cascade product knowledge to their teams.
  • Coordinate and lead group training meetings and events within the territory.

Retail Relationship Management

  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with store managers, department leads, and regional retail leaders within your territory.
  • Identify and cultivate key in-store champions who will advocate for the brand when you are not present.
  • Schedule regular check-ins with store leadership to maintain alignment on goals, performance, and promotional initiatives.
  • Influence retail partners at all levels to support sales, training, and promotional efforts.
  • Serve as the primary brand ambassador in the field, representing the client with professionalism and enthusiasm.

Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Collect and transmit actionable insights on competitive activity, retail conditions, promotional effectiveness, and customer feedback from in-store visits.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all field activities, visit outcomes, and territory performance.
  • Leverage retail relationships to generate intelligence that informs program-level strategy and client decision-making.

Event Execution

  • Attend and lead assisted-selling events and partner activations.
  • Set up brand tables, pop-ups, and in-store displays to drive product visibility and movement.
  • Maximize traffic during key retail periods including back-to-school, fall launches, and holiday seasons.
  • 1–2+ years of retail, sales, field marketing, or training experience, ideally within consumer electronics or technology categories.
  • Supervisory, mentorship, or team leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to build rapport quickly and develop meaningful relationships with retail partners at all levels.
  • Comfortable working independently across a multi-store territory with frequent in-store travel.
