Repsol has an opening for a Drilling Engineering Intern located in The Woodlands, Texas.

Internship Details

  • Position will be based out of our office in The Woodlands, TX. Interns are expected onsite Monday-Friday, with the exception of 9/80's. The 9/80 schedule is optional per the manager's discretion, based on intern project scope and timeline.
  • Non-local candidates may be considered but must arrange their own travel and temporary accommodation. A summer stipend will be provided to help offset out of pocket expenses.
  • Students must be available for the full duration of the internship from May 17th - Aug 6th . Any personal time off must be approved by the supervisor as unpaid leave and should be noted with the recruiter as early as possible.
  • Interns will receive an hourly wage but are not eligible for benefits or paid time off. Interns will be compensated for observed company holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Support engineering team members with day‑to‑day tasks and ongoing projects
  • Assist with data gathering, organization, and basic analysis related to engineering activities
  • Help prepare reports, presentations, and other supporting documentation
  • Participate in meetings, reviews, and team discussions to gain exposure to business processes and operations
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams as needed
  • Follow established safety standards, procedures, and company policies

Qualifications

  • Fully authorized to work for any employer in the US without sponsorship now or in the future. Additionally, we are not authorized for employment under OPT/CPT/F1 visa programs.
  • Successful completion of 2 years towards a Bachelor's (or higher) in an Engineering discipline
  • Must be a currently enrolled student for the Fall 2027 semester. Candidates should not have graduated before the start of the internship.
  • Detail-oriented, a strong analytical background
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite of Products
  • Demonstrate an understanding and enthusiasm for the oil and gas industry
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with a variety of technical and non‑technical staff
  • Able to work independently and within a team
  • Professional conduct is fundamental to success in this position
  • Proven organizational and time management skills
