Job Summary

Performs, evaluates, records and reports clinical laboratory tests used in the diagnosis, evaluation and treatment of patients on a variety of body fluids and biological specimens. Assist immediate supervisor by accepting responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the assigned area. May provide oversight of staff as directed or required and in compliance with regulatory policies.

Qualifications

BA or BS in Laboratory Science Required or
permitted by NYS Department of Education as a Medical Technologist Required
Six (6) years of Medical Technologist experience Required
Completion of one (1) year training in an approved Medical Technology program or equivalent as per New York State Department of Health Standards and Laws.
Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
Clinical Laboratory Technician - New York State Board of Clinical Laboratory Technology Required
MT (ASCP) Preferred
