Job Description Summary
We are seeking an experienced, technically credible Associate Director of Technology to lead the applications supporting Procurement, Corporate Real Estate, and Office Services.
This role is ideal for a hands-on technology leader who can lead and develop a team, partner effectively with business leaders, provide technical direction, and drive reliable execution. You will own application delivery and operational performance across the portfolio while helping modernize our engineering practices and accelerate the responsible use of AI and automation.
Job Description
- This position follows our hybrid workstyle policy: Expected to be in a Raymond James office location a minimum of 10-12 days a month.
- Please note: This role is not eligible for Work Visa sponsorship, either currently or in the future.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a blended team of full-time associates and contractors.
- Own application delivery and production performance, including projects, enhancements, support, incidents, releases, and vendor coordination. Partner with business leaders to translate priorities into scalable technology solutions and actionable roadmaps.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership across architecture, integrations, data flows, configuration, development, and production troubleshooting.
- Guide the delivery and support of ServiceNow or comparable enterprise workflow platforms and Contract Lifecycle Management solutions .
- Establish strong SDLC, engineering, testing, documentation, release, and quality standards .
- Drive application stability through effective incident management, root-cause analysis, and elimination of recurring issues.
- Identify practical opportunities to use AI, automation, and modern engineering practices to improve productivity, quality, cycle time, and business outcomes.
- Manage priorities, capacity, and resources across employees, contractors, vendors, and multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and strong execution .
Skills
We are looking for a leader with a strong combination of people leadership, technical depth, business partnership, and execution discipline .
Required
- 10+ years of progressive technology experience in application development, enterprise platforms, or application management.
- 6+ years of technology leadership or management experience , including developers, analysts, technical leads, and/or contractors.
- Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle , including requirements, architecture/design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Hands-on technical leadership experience with ServiceNow or a comparable enterprise workflow platform and/or Contract Lifecycle Management technology .
- Demonstrated ability to understand and challenge solution architecture, integrations, data flows, application design, and technical implementation decisions .
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively with executives, business partners, engineers, vendors, and cross-functional technology teams.
Highly Desired
- Procurement technology and ServiceNow Procurement experience.
- Contract Lifecycle Management experience, particularly Ironclad or similar platforms.
- Experience implementing, integrating, upgrading, and supporting third-party enterprise software.
- Working knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP and DevOps practices including CI/CD, Jenkins, and Git .
- Experience applying generative AI, AI-assisted development, or automation to improve software delivery or operational support.
- Experience establishing engineering standards and improving application quality, reliability, and development practices.
