About The Role

Required Skills

  • Test automation: Hands-on experience with Playwright, Selenium, TestNG including development, maintenance, and execution of automated test scripts.
  • Programming and scripting: Proficiency in Typescript, Java, Python, JavaScript, or a comparable programming language, with the ability to troubleshoot and enhance automation solutions.
  • Functional and regression testing: Strong understanding of test design, test case development, end-to-end testing, system integration testing, regression execution, and result validation.
  • Defect management: Experience using Jira, Azure DevOps with knowledge of the complete defect lifecycle.
  • Modern testing practices: Awareness of AI-assisted testing, self-healing automation, codeless testing platforms, risk-based testing, and continuous quality practices.

Analytical and collaboration skills: Strong problem-solving, written and verbal communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Daily

  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration.
  • Analyze test results and investigate automation or application failures.
  • Log, track, retest, and close defects in coordination with development teams.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and communicate progress, risks, blockers, and dependencies.
  • Update test results, execution evidence, and project quality records.

Weekly

  • Review and update automation scripts based on application and requirement changes.
  • Execute regression testing for sprint and release deliverables.
  • Participate in test planning, estimation, and test case review sessions.
  • Analyze automation coverage and identify functional or technical gaps.
  • Support release readiness and validation activities.
  • Provide quality status, defect trends, and risk updates to project stakeholders.

Monthly

  • Contribute to consolidated quality metrics and testing status reports.
  • Review automation suite health, execution stability, flaky tests, and maintenance needs.
  • Identify automation improvement opportunities and technical debt.
  • Participate in knowledge-sharing and capability-building sessions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality Engineering team.

Quarterly

  • Support automation framework enhancements and roadmap initiatives.
  • Participate in quality process reviews, control assessments, and audits.
  • Recommend improvements in automation coverage, testing effectiveness, and execution efficiency.
  • Contribute to innovation initiatives involving AI-enabled testing and modern QA practices.
  • Help develop reusable assets, testing standards, and team best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4 to 7 years of experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance.
  • Minimum 2 years of Playwright hands-on automation testing experience.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks and execution pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle, Software Testing Life Cycle, and quality engineering practices.
