The AV and Event Operations Specialist will play a key role in supporting audio-visual operations, live streaming, video production, and event delivery across Visa. This role supports the Senior Event Operations Specialist and the Lead, Events and Video Production Specialist to ensure events, meetings, broadcasts, and AV-enabled experiences are delivered smoothly, efficiently, and to a high standard.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role that requires technical versatility, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work calmly and effectively in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will help manage logistical details, provide on-site support, troubleshoot AV issues in real time, and contribute to continuous improvement across AV and event operations.

Key Focus Areas

  • Exceptional Customer Service: Actively engage with end users, ensuring their issues and requests are addressed with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency.
  • Proactive Problem Solving: Identify issues before they escalate, using strong analytical and diagnostic skills to minimize downtime and ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Technology Optimization: Continuously refine and improve support processes, adopt best practices, and seek opportunities to enhance the end-user computing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot AV, conferencing, streaming, and production equipment for meetings, events, broadcasts, and hybrid experiences.
  • Support live streaming and video production activities, ensuring smooth, reliable, and high-quality event delivery.
  • Conduct pre-event technical checks, risk assessments, and equipment readiness reviews to minimize disruption during live execution.
  • Assist in developing event plans, timelines, checklists, run-of-show documentation, budgets, and post-event reporting.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including vendors, venues, equipment setup, transportation, room layouts, seating, lighting, AV requirements, permits, licenses, and supporting documentation.
  • Support site visits, venue inspections, event setup, live execution, and post-event breakdown to ensure all elements are delivered according to plan.
  • Provide on-site technical and operational support, responding to stakeholder, presenter, vendor, and attendee needs professionally and efficiently.
  • Communicate regularly with internal teams, vendors, venues, and stakeholders to confirm requirements, manage risks, resolve issues, and ensure alignment throughout the event lifecycle.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and contribute to a seamless end-user experience across all AV and event interactions.
  • Gather feedback, identify lessons learned, and contribute to continuous improvement of AV operations, event processes, documentation, playbooks, and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Communications, Media Production, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in AV operations and event support.
  • Proven track record of supporting successful events and delivering high-quality results.
  • Experience with live streaming and video production is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience setting up, operating, and troubleshooting AV equipment, including cameras, microphones, lighting, projectors, displays, and related production technologies.
  • Experience supporting video conferencing, collaboration, and live streaming platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, YouTube Live, Facebook Live, Twitch, or similar tools.
  • Understanding of media and streaming standards, including H.264, H.265, AAC, Dolby Digital, RTMP, HLS, DASH, HD, Full HD, and 4K.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and troubleshoot issues quickly in live event environments.
  • Ability to work calmly and professionally under pressure, manage time-sensitive tasks, and adapt to changing event requirements.
  • Experience coordinating with vendors, venues, internal teams, and stakeholders to support event logistics and delivery.
