Job Description

This role forms part of the Core Consumer Product & CVP team within Regional Product Solutions across Southern & Eastern Africa (SEA). The role is focused on supporting card payment product, platform, and customer value proposition management through analytics, market research, programme coordination, product enablement, and stakeholder support.

The role holder will work closely with CEMEA Product Leads, Product Managers, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Client Services, and Solution Delivery teams to support the scaling of Core Consumer products and CVP initiatives across the regions.

This role requires a structured, analytical, and commercially minded individual who can translate portfolio data and market insights into clear recommendations, support client-facing work, and contribute to the execution of differentiated customer value propositions.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Value Proposition Support: Support the development and enhancement of customer value propositions across consumer portfolios, including customer segmentation, benefit mapping, proposition documentation, and market-specific opportunity assessment.
  • Portfolio Performance and Analytics: Analyse acquisition, activation, usage, retention, revenue growth, and benefits utilisation metrics, and prepare dashboards, scorecards, and insights that support product and client decisions.
  • Market and Competitive Analysis: Conduct ongoing market research and competitor benchmarking across card products, benefits, loyalty, digital banking, fintech, and emerging consumer payment propositions.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Pricing, Client Services, Solution Delivery, and regional teams to support successful development, launch, and management of CVP initiatives.
  • Client and Sales Enablement: Support issuer engagements by preparing product presentations, proposition summaries, client-ready insights, workshop materials, and quarterly portfolio updates.
  • Programme Coordination: Track project milestones, risks, dependencies, owners, next steps, implementation readiness, and post-launch actions across SEA CVP initiatives.
  • Benefits and Offers Support: Monitor benefit and offer programme performance, utilisation, issuer adoption, partner inputs, and customer engagement outcomes.
  • Reporting and Executive Support: Prepare management updates, executive summaries, business reviews, and leadership-ready presentations to support decision-making and performance tracking.
  • Commercial and Business Case Support: Assist with financial impact assessments, business cases, growth opportunity sizing, and return-on-investment tracking for CVP and Core Consumer initiatives.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 2 to 5 years’ experience in banking, payments, fintech, consulting, analytics, product, marketing, customer strategy, or related financial services roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Commerce, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data and market insights into practical recommendations.
  • Strong project coordination skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams across markets and stakeholders.
  • Digitally curious, follows industry trends, and can use market exposure to support Visa’s product, customer experience, and digital recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with stakeholders at different levels.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and preparation of clear presentation materials.
  • Experience preparing internal updates, client-facing materials, dashboards, reports, or executive-level briefs.
  • Understanding of customer needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape in the card payment, retail banking, or fintech industry is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with proposition development, loyalty, benefits, merchant offers, product performance tracking, or business case development is an advantage.
