Electrical Engineer - Graduate

Wood is recruiting for an Electrical Engineer - Graduate to join its Projects business line focusing on engineering, procurement and construction of complex plants in the Chemical, Petrochemical and Energy industries. The position will be based in Corsico (Milan) office, with the possibility to work from home up to two days per week.

The Role

• Reporting to the Lead Electrical Engineer will be responsible of the execution of assigned work in accordance with applicable contract procedures, codes and standards.

The key objectives for this role are

• Prepare / develop single line diagrams and functional diagrams
• Carry-out electrical system studies
• Execute equipment sizing calculations
• Prepare electrical job specifications and data-sheets
• Prepare material requisitions for electrical equipment and perform technical bid evaluations as per relevant practices
• Review Vendor drawings and documentation as per relevant practices
• Perform power cable sizing calculations
• Ensure timely production of deliverables
• Assist the electrical designers with the preparation of electrical drawings
• Perform site surveys and prepare relevant reports

Expected

• M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering
• Fluent Italian & good English
• Self-motivation, flexibility, a proactive outlook and good communication skills
• Passionate about and aptitude for mentoring, training and sharing experiences with the other engineers of the team
• Ability to work with technical strength with the minimum of supervision

Compensation and compliance

Contract & Classification

• Contract type: Permanent
• Collective Agreement (CCNL): Industria Metalmeccanica (CNEL C011)
• Job Classification level: Impiegato, consistent with role requirements and applicable CCNL

Compensation

• Gross Annual Salary: the initial gross annual salary will be € 32,604.60, paid in 14 instalments
• The compensation package will include applicable CCNL elements and company benefits
• Variable pay and additional benefits will be detailed during the selection process
