About The Role
Wood is recruiting for a Civil & Structural Engineer - Graduate to join its Projects business line focusing on engineering, procurement and construction of complex plants in the Chemical, Petrochemical and Energy industries. The position will be based in Corsico (Milan) office, with the possibility to work from home up to two days per week.

The Role
You will support the development of civil engineering documentation under the guidance of senior engineers and civil project specialty leaders. The role involves the preparation of calculation reports of foundations, concrete and steel structures based on input from Vendors and other disciplines, interacting with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high quality technical documents. During projects development, you’ll attend 3D model review to implement any Client’s comments in the design. During construction you’ll be involved in giving technical support to site team and for site visits.

The key objectives for this role are
- Understand the project drivers as advised by management and ensure focus keeping during implementation
- Understand and implement client expectations
- Understand all relevant client and associated Engineering Standards
- Understand the Local standards as they apply to the engineering work and review compliance with Client Engineering Standards
- Participate in engineering discussions in resolution of issues
- Avail of the 3D engineering environments for the design
- Participate to model reviews
- Develop structural models and calculation reports
- Interact with designers to allow 3D model and drawings preparation
- Review of engineering deliverables provided by Other, calculations and drawings prior to release

Expected
- M.Sc. in Civil Engineering
- Fluent Italian and good English
- Good knowledge in structural and foundation design and in calculation in seismic areas
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Desirable
- Previous experience in similar role
Compensation and compliance
Contract & Classification
- Contract type: Permanent
- Collective Agreement (CCNL): Industria Metalmeccanica (CNEL C011)
- Job Classification level: Impiegato, consistent with role requirements and applicable CCNL
Compensation
- Gross Annual Salary: the initial gross annual salary will be € 32,604.60, paid in 14 instalments
- The compensation package will include applicable CCNL elements and company benefits
- Variable pay and additional benefits will be detailed during the selection process
