If you love being outside, pushing your body, and learning technical skills, this role is built for you.

At All Natural Tree Experts, Apprentice Tree Climbers learn professional tree work from the ground up. You’ll start on the ground crew, master ropes and rigging, then earn your way into the canopy as a safe, skilled climber.

No prior tree experience required. Rock climbers, forestry students, forestry service employees, state parks employees, former Scouts, athletes, and anyone who loves hard, physical work outdoors tend to crush it here.

What You’ll Actually Do

Start on the Ground

• Drag brush, rake, chip limbs, and keep the job site clean.
• Load / unload trucks, stage gear, and support climbers.
• Learn saw safety, PPE, and job site communication.

Learn the Craft

• Practice knots, rope handling, and basic rigging.
• Learn how to spot hazards and read trees.
• Shadow experienced climbers and crew leaders every day.

Grow Into the Canopy

• Progress into basic climbing under close supervision.
• Help with pruning, removals, and technical rigging as your skills grow.
• Take on more responsibility and pay as you prove yourself.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Able to lift 75+ lbs, drag heavy brush, bend, kneel, and work on your feet all day.
• Comfortable with the idea of working at heights that exceed 60' after training.
• Can pass a background check and drug screen.
• Show up on time, every time.
