Volunteer - Gym Assistant - Glasgow Hospice

We are looking for volunteers to support our physiotherapy team run gym sessions in our hospices, so that patients can exercise in a safe and welcoming environment. Without the support of our volunteers, these sessions simply could not happen.

Your role will include some of, but is not restricted to, the following tasks

• Help patients get started with their gym programmes
• Register each gym session and record patients’ exercises
• Assist the physiotherapist with the day-to-day running of the gym (you will not run the sessions yourself)
• Pass on appropriate information about patients to the physiotherapist
• Help provide a relaxed and welcoming environment for the patients
• Help with other related tasks when necessary
