We’re seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our growing team in Halifax. This role involves designing and managing electrical systems for educational and healthcare facilities , commercial buildings, and complex projects across Atlantic Canada.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and specify electrical systems for buildings, including:
  • Power distribution , essential power systems (generators, UPS), grounding design.
  • Telecommunications , data systems, security, and fire alarm systems.
  • Lighting and lighting control systems .
  • Prepare technical specifications , feasibility studies, and design briefs.
  • Conduct building condition assessments and options evaluations.
  • Estimate construction costs and develop project documentation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate and efficient designs.

Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licensed with Engineers Nova Scotia.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering .
  • 7+ years of experience in electrical design for building systems.
  • Experience in education and healthcare electrical design is an asset
  • Familiarity with Nova Scotia market is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Revit , AutoCAD , and Microsoft Office .
  • Proficiency with AGi32 lighting design software.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian Building Codes , Canadian Electrical Code, electrical standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
