From automating processes to leveraging smart factory technologies, robotics, and additive manufacturing, GE Aerospace is shaping the future of aviation at GE Aerospace Engine Services Singapore (GEAESS).

GEAESS is our largest site for engine component Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO), responsible for more than 60% of our global repair volume.

Role Overview

  • Assist production teams with daily operational tasks, including material handling, documentation, and equipment setup/preparation.
  • Perform routine inspections and basic troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment and tools, escalating complex issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain accurate production records, logs, and databases, ensuring data integrity and traceability.
  • Support the implementation and adherence to safety protocols, quality standards (e.g., AS9100), and environmental regulations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying areas for process optimization and waste reduction.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including engineering, quality assurance, and logistics, to facilitate smooth production flow.
  • Contribute to the upkeep and organization of the manufacturing workspace, ensuring a clean and efficient environment.
  • Assist with inventory management tasks, including receiving, issuing, and tracking materials and components.

Ideal Candidate

  • Consistently delivers Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) results by enabling standard work, stabilizing daily operations, and coaching team members to solve problems at the source. Combine strong people leadership with disciplined execution and a continuous improvement mindset.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; a technical certificate or diploma in a relevant field (e.g., manufacturing technology, mechanical engineering) is a plus.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably within the aviation or aerospace sector.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Proficiency in using basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks requiring standing, lifting, and moving materials as needed.
