About the Role

We are seeking a proactive HR Generalist to join our People team on a 12-month contract based in our Carlsbad, CA office. Reporting to the Director of HR, this role provides broad HR support across the employee lifecycle — partnering with managers and employees, handling HR operations, and contributing to engagement and compliance initiatives. It's a strong opportunity for an HR professional building HR Business Partner experience in a fast-paced, global technology company. The ideal candidate is a team player, has a curious, growth-mindset, rolls up sleeves, and takes initiative and accountability, and has a passion for driving great employee experiences.

This is a 12 month, fixed term contract.

Key Responsibilities

HR Business Partnership & Employee Relations

  • Serve as the primary HR contact for assigned client groups, coaching managers on employee relations, performance management, and employee programs and policy interpretation.
  • Build trusted relationships with managers and employees; support investigations, performance improvement plans, and workforce planning.

Talent Management , HR Operations & Compliance

  • Lead new hire onboarding, orientation, and check-ins; support performance review process, goal-setting , and talent reviews
  • Manage employee lifecycle transactions (onboarding, employee changes, offboarding), maintain accurate HR records, and ensure Workday (HRIS) data integrity.
  • Answer employee questions on benefits, immigration, and policies ; conduct compensation, data analysis and produce reports as requested.
  • Ensure HR practices comply with federal, state, and local employment law; support audits and maintain confidentiality.
  • Contribute to regional and global HR programs and projects , including annual merit cycle, US benefits open enrollment , policy updates and process improvements.

Employee Engagement & Culture

  • Coordinate wellness, CSR, and local Carlsbad office events
  • S upport communication of HR programs and initiatives.
  • Help foster an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing culture.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources , Business Administration, Psychology or a related field.
  • 4- 5 years of progressive HR Generalist experience supporting the full employee lifecycle.
  • Working knowledge of California employment law.
  • Strong customer service, employee relations, coaching, and problem-solving skills, with sound judgment and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills; detail oriented, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office , Communication/ collaboration and HRIS platforms

Preferred

  • Experience supporting a technology company; familiarity with Workday or similar HRIS platforms.
  • Experience in compensation, benefits administration, immigration case management and employee relations
  • Professional HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with generative AI platforms such as Claude or ChatGPT
  • Familiarity with Share P oint or similar web-based collaboration /document management platforms

The pay range for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries at commencement of employment and is expected to be between USD$75,000-90,000/year . However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including role, job-related knowledge, skills, relevant education and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including bonus, equity, and a full range of benefits.
