Principal Product Engineer

About The Role
Job Summary
Our Product Engineer owns all aspects of a Product’s performance from the concept development to high vol production. Your position aligns customer requirements with internal specifications. You shall review the manufacturing process and validate adherence to all product specifications and define/lead/drive yield and quality aspects including various product improvement initiatives and change management. In addition, this person shall directly and indirectly interface with customers on technical issues throughout the sales/NPI lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Lead the yield management pillar of the company and drive yield improvement across all process zones in the production line.
- Analyze manufacturing process data for adherence to product specification.
- Identify sources of process and product non-compliance through failure analysis, data mining and data analysis, experiments and drive for corrective and preventive actions based on findings.
- Work collaboratively with customers & process teams to resolve product performance issues.
- Drive cost and performance enhancement initiatives.
- Interface with customer and R&D teams to ensure successful integration of Enovix cells into specific devices/applications.
- Develop and maintain yield models and failure analysis tracking systems.
- Negotiate and manage documentation of product specifications
- Present technical findings and project status to internal stakeholders and management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master Degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Materials, Industrial, Applied Physics/Chemistry or related field).
- Minimum 10 years of experience working in Engineering
- Experience in Product Engineering, Product Quality, or Product Design required
- Knowledge of Li-ion battery technology is highly desired
- Strong knowledge of statistical analysis tools; proficiency in JMP is required.
- Solid understanding of SPC, DOE, regression analysis, and hypothesis testing.
- Hands-on experience with data analysis in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work independently and in a team environment.
