Scope of Position
The Strategic Sourcing Manager leads sourcing activities for the Haws site, driving cost competitiveness, supplier performance, supply continuity, innovation, and business results. This role partners cross-functionally to develop and execute sourcing strategies, deliver productivity initiatives, support new product development, and manage global supplier relationships. As part of the Front-of-Wall Sourcing organization, the position collaborates with other site sourcing teams to align strategies, optimize the supply base, and execute cross-business initiatives.
This role is onsite and based in Sparks, Nevada.
This role has no direct reports.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships while leading commercial negotiations, supplier contracts and driving supplier performance in cost, quality, delivery, innovation, and responsiveness.
- Lead sourcing projects including supplier transitions, resourcing initiatives, risk mitigation activities, and implementation of strategic sourcing opportunities.
- Evaluate and execute global and low-cost-country sourcing opportunities consistent with business requirements and total cost objectives.
- Utilize spend analytics, market intelligence, supplier benchmarking, and cost modeling to support sourcing decisions and business planning.
- Partner with Engineering, Product Management, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to support sourcing initiatives, new product introductions, and business objectives through influence and collaboration.
- Use digital procurement tools, spend analytics, Microsoft Copilot, and AI-enabled solutions where appropriate to improve sourcing effectiveness and decision quality.
- Establish sourcing performance metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational and financial performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive sourcing, procurement, supplier development, engineering, or supply chain experience within manufacturing, industrial, or engineered product environments.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives, influencing stakeholders, delivering productivity, cost reduction, supplier development, value engineering, design-to-cost, and new product introduction initiatives.
- Experience developing and implementing sourcing strategies and supplier management initiatives.
- Strong supplier negotiation and commercial leadership skills.
- Experience supporting global sourcing and low-cost-country sourcing initiatives.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, project leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, spend analysis tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, regulations, company policies, and safety requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or master’s degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- CPSM, CPM, APICS, or equivalent professional certification.

Working Conditions
While performing the job duties, you will be working on-site at a manufacturing facility and will perform the majority of your duties in an office environment. You may, at times, be required to be present on the manufacturing floor and will be required to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment. You will be required to work in the office at the Sparks, NV location (Monday – Friday). Your scheduled work hours will be communicated to you by your manager.
