About The Role
Under the direction of the Manager, this position serves as a senior analytical resource responsible for translating business needs into practical data and reporting solutions that support informed decision-making across the organization. The role combines business partnership, advanced analysis, and strong technical judgment to improve the quality, consistency, and usability of data assets while helping strengthen the team’s overall analytics capabilities.
- Partners with business stakeholders, analysts, and technology teams to understand business objectives, data requirements, and decision-making needs, translating complex questions into clear analytical approaches, scalable reporting solutions, and actionable recommendations.
- Designs and develops reusable analytical datasets, analytical data marts, and reporting structures that support multiple use cases across the organization, improve data consistency, and reduce reliance on one-off or request-specific data preparation.
- Applies advanced SQL and analytical dataset design expertise to improve data accessibility, performance, quality, and usability for reporting, dashboarding, and analysis; identifies and resolves data quality issues while supporting sound data governance practices.
- Provides technical leadership and coaching to analysts by teaching solution design principles for reusability, scalability, and modern reporting; supports code reviews and promotes standards that strengthen the team’s capabilities in scalable analytics, data preparation, and reporting enablement.
- Develops, maintains, and continuously improves performance tracking, dashboards, management reporting, and related analytical processes to ensure metrics remain accurate, timely, scalable, and aligned with evolving business priorities; performs other related responsibilities and duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience.
- Level is dependent on years of experience and size/complexity of prior positions held.
- Minimum 7 years of related data analytics, business intelligence, or data solution development experience, including proficiency with advanced SQL, analytical dataset design, dashboard/reporting development, and translating business requirements into scalable data and reporting solutions.
- Demonstrated proficiency and expertise with personal computers and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) or similar software. Knowledge of or ability to use Bank software and systems.
- Advanced knowledge and skill proficiency in data management and data warehousing.
- Intermediate knowledge and skill proficiency in business acumen, critical thinking, cross-functional collaboration, customer experience, data analytics, data mining, data structures, and IT technical acumen.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication and presentation skills to all levels of management. Possess strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities and risks and make recommendations. Proficient in presentation development, report generation and database design and management. Strong business sense and ability to align change management process to business needs in a complex environment. Must demonstrate strong project management and implementation skills. Proactive, curious, self-starter who requires minimal supervision with the ability to lead team members, build strong relationships, and work across multiple departments and divisions. Demonstrated drive to learn, research, and resolve issues independently or with others. Able to work flexible hours including holidays, weekends and evenings as necessary.
