The Myaamia word neepwaantiinki, meaning "learning from each other," reflects the spirit of this relationship.

MiamiTHRIVE

MiamiTHRIVE is Miami University's strategic transformation effort, launched in fall 2023 in response to a changing higher education landscape. The work is designed to strengthen Miami's teaching, research, and service missions while reimagining how the university can meet the evolving needs of students and the communities it serves. More than 1,500 faculty, staff, and students participated in the process, helping identify 55 broad ideas for evaluation and development.

The work is now in its implementation phase and is guided by three priorities: Student-Centered Transformative Ideas, an Unwavering Commitment to Excellence, and Mission-Focused Operational Efficiency. Initiatives include the Office of Strategic Transformation, Miami University Polytechnic, a reshaped Hub for the Humanities, and the multipurpose arena.
