About the Role
We are seeking a ServiceNow Developer for our Information Technology team. Reporting to the Manager, Enterprise Business Applications you will integrate, maintain, configure, and develop the ServiceNow environments as well as explore opportunities to grow and improve ServiceNow across CAAT. You will support the daily operations of the platform through incident, change, enhancements, and service requests and support the analysis, design, and development of the ServiceNow platform.
As the Newest Member of our Team, You’ll
- Support upgrades to the latest release of ServiceNow application in a timely manner with minimal or no disruption to our customers.
- Ensure accurate environment management processes are being followed, and proper scripting standards are being met, while identifying system deficiencies and recommending solutions.
- Participate in ongoing production and end user support and open incidents with vendors and drive issues to closure.
- Partner with other team members to develop solutions and handle enhancements through the Agile or Waterfall project methodology.
- Maintain and continuous improvement of the processes, standards, policies, and tools.
- Deliver training to follow employees, IT staff and team members on the functionality of ServiceNow.
- Conduct code review for the application development team and provides demos and performs proof of concepts on new functionality.
- Collaborate with process owners to develop and customize ServiceNow application solutions and facilitate the rollout of new applications and modules.
- Provide design solutions and timelines on development and develop and maintain design documents.
- Collaborate and assist the ServiceNow Product Manager in managing and leveraging our ServiceNow development partner.
- Take ownership and accountability for clients’ business needs, driving to solutions while working creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment to keep the project team on schedule and on budget, and proactively troubleshooting any issues that arise.
To Succeed, You Bring
- A minimum of five (5) years of overall ServiceNow experience, including three (3) plus years of ServiceNow application development, with demonstrated proficiency in building workflows, dashboards, and reports, as well as analyzing platform requirements, presenting solutions, and driving end-to-end development.
- At least three (3) years’ experience working with ServiceNow and delivering solutions for IT Service Management and IT Operations function
- ServiceNow credentials such as Certified Implementation Specialist or Certified Application Developer.
- At least five (5) years’ experience with JavaScript, XML, HTML and Jelly Scripting
- Proficient in current methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban, Waterfall) with excellent time management skills to thrive in fast-paced, dynamically changing environments.
- Effective communication skills and be comfortable working in large groups, with advanced proficiency across the Microsoft suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio, SharePoint).
- Strong understanding of Enterprise Service Management frameworks (ITIL, DevOps, LEAN) – with ITIL Foundations Certification (v3/v4) considered an asset
- Deep integration expertise with web services (SOAP, WSDL, REST, APIs) and ServiceNow tools (Integration Hub, Flow Designer), combined with a strong understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and UI/UX concepts.
- Hands-on experience crafting update sets, promoting and testing through multiple instances into production, and building custom applications using App Studio.
- Solid ability to adapt to new technologies and evolving customer/business requirements; thrive working independently or in a team environment, with excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills, and a desire to mentor and share ServiceNow knowledge and experience.
The target hiring salary for this position is $96,800 to $113,800. Placement within our salary range will be based on factors such as internal equity, market conditions, and the candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
