About The Role
We are looking for a Renewal Account Manager to join our Renewal Sales Team in Mexico City. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of products supporting academic, government, and higher education research institutions. The team consists of highly motivated and collaborative professionals and reports to the Sr. Manager, Renewal Sales. You'll have the opportunity to build relationships with professors, deans, vice provosts, and other key decision-makers while driving customer retention, renewal growth, and expansion opportunities. If you have experience in subscription-based sales, customer relationship management, and renewal strategies, we'd love to hear from you.
About You – Experience, Education, Skills, and Accomplishments
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant sales, account management, or renewal sales experience with a proven track record of managing customer relationships and achieving sales targets.
It Would Be Great If You Also Have...
- Experience within academic, government, higher education, research, publishing, or information services sectors.
- Experience managing subscription-based products and renewal portfolios.
- Knowledge of customer retention strategies and contract renewal processes.
- Experience partnering with external vendors throughout the sales cycle.
- Additional education in business, sales, marketing, or a related field.
What Will You Be Doing in This Role?
- Engage customers to identify renewal opportunities, understand their needs, and provide exceptional support.
- Utilize product expertise to communicate value-added solutions that drive renewal and expansion opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure satisfaction, loyalty, and long-term partnerships.
- Develop and execute renewal sales strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Create, update, and analyze subscription, contract, and renewal performance reports.
- Monitor market trends and product developments to maximize sales effectiveness.
- Achieve individual renewal and new business goals.
- Partner with outside vendors to support the full sales cycle when necessary.
- Deliver accurate forecasts and renewal pipeline updates to leadership.
- Leverage and optimize sales tools and technologies to enhance sales performance and customer engagement.

In this role, you will support a broad portfolio of solutions serving academic institutions, government organizations, and higher education research communities. You will work with a wide range of stakeholders, including professors, deans, researchers, librarians, and university leadership. This diverse customer base provides continuous opportunities to learn, develop expertise, and help customers maximize the value of their investments.
About the Team
Our Renewal Sales team is a close-knit group of sales professionals who pride themselves on collaboration, accountability, and customer focus. Team members actively support one another and work together to deliver exceptional customer experiences. Because renewals represent more than 90% of our business, the team plays a critical role in sustaining customer relationships and driving growth.
Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Renewal Sales, you'll join a leadership environment focused on empowerment and coaching rather than micromanagement. The team enjoys significant autonomy while receiving support, guidance, and mentorship to achieve success. This position also offers opportunities for career growth across Account Management, Customer Success, and other commercial functions within the organization.
Hours of Work
This is a full-time, permanent hybrid position based in Mexico City. Team members work primarily during standard business hours and are expected to work in the office 2 days per week, with flexibility as business needs require. Occasional travel (approximately 10%) may be required.
