Overview

Come join Team Atlantis! The Steakhouse is currently accepting applications for Food Server. Responsibilities will include; performing table maintenance, completing side work, maintaining health code standards, and providing excellent customer service for our guests according to Atlantis' and Forbes standards.

Job Responsibilities**

  • Greet guests warmly and present menus with expert knowledge of all food and beverage offerings, including daily specials, ingredients, and wine pairings.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders, using a POS system, and communicate them effectively to kitchen and bar staff.
  • Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently, adhering to fine dining service standards (e.g., proper table setting, crumbing, plate presentation).
  • Anticipate guest needs and respond proactively to requests, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable dining experience.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked workstation and dining area.
  • Process guest payments accurately and handle cash and credit card transactions responsibly.
  • Collaborate effectively with culinary and other front-of-house team members to ensure smooth service flow.
  • Resolve guest complaints or concerns professionally and courteously, escalating issues to management when necessary.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned, including setting up and breaking down dining areas.

Job Qualifications**

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Food Server in a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment, preferably a steakhouse.
  • Extensive knowledge of food and wine, including different cuts of meat, cooking temperatures, and classic wine pairings.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a genuine desire to provide a memorable guest experience.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining composure and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Proficiency with POS systems.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and perform repetitive motions.
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
