Senior Business Development Executive - Jordan

About The Role

Business Development

  • Support onboarding activities for new partners including documentation, due diligence coordination and go-live support.
  • Conduct regular partner visits to strengthen relationships and increase transaction volumes.
  • Identify new business opportunities, remittance corridors and potential strategic partnerships.
  • Identify and onboard new Exchange Houses, Banks and Financial Institution partners in Jordan.
  • Conduct commercial negotiations and support agreement execution with prospective partners.
  • Support regulatory documentation and onboarding requirements in coordination with Compliance.
  • Assist in executing pricing, promotional campaigns and market activation initiatives.
  • Support DPB, DTB & CB referral programs initiatives within the assigned market.

Partner Management

  • Monitor partner transaction trends and report business opportunities to the Head of Originating Markets.
  • Assist partners in resolving operational issues by coordinating with Client Services, Operations and Compliance.
  • Ensure partner branding, marketing materials and promotional activities are maintained across branches.
  • Support periodic Business Reviews (QBRs) with partner management.

Commercial & Market Intelligence

  • Collect competitor pricing, commission structures and market intelligence.
  • Monitor customer behavior, corridor trends and migration opportunities.
  • Assist in implementation of corridor-specific promotional campaigns.
  • Monitor Jordan remittance market developments, competitor activities and regulatory changes.
  • Identify opportunities for corridor expansion, correspondent banking and digital payment solutions.

Operations & Governance

  • Coordinate with Finance and Treasury regarding funding requirements and settlement follow-up.
  • Escalate partner operational issues, system disruptions and customer complaints promptly.
  • Support business continuity activities during service disruptions.
  • Coordinate implementation of new API integrations and operational enhancements with Product, Technology and Operations teams.
  • Support business continuity planning and service recovery activities across Jordan partners.
  • Ensure all customer and partner interactions comply with AML/CFT and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, visit reports and business activity trackers.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly activity reports for the Head of Originating Markets.

Requirements

Graduate from University, preferably in Business Administration, Banking, Finance, Marketing or a related discipline.

  1. EXPERIENCE

Candidate must be based in Jordan and must have a minimum of 6 years of Banking, Exchange House or FinTech experience with at least 4 years in Business Development or Relationship Management along with following requirements

  • Working knowledge of Cross Border Payment industry.
  • Knowledge of Exchange House business operations.
  • Basic understanding of correspondent banking and international payment processes.
  • Knowledge of AML/CFT and sanctions requirements.
  • Experience in partner relationship management.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Arabic and fluency in English is required; preference may be given to a Jordanian national with strong local market knowledge.
