Your Role on Our Team
We are looking for a team member who can work safely and effectively within our fast - paced injection molding environment. The successful candidate will be comfortable working within an ever - changing environment that strives for constant improvement. This position is responsible for troubleshooting & repairing mechanical/electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic failures and performing preventive maintenance while maintaining a clean, safe working environment. Maintenance experience with Nissei , Van Dorn, Haitian and Milacron Injection Molding machines a plus.
You’ll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities
Troubleshoot mechanical/electrical/pneumatic/ hydraulic systems using schematics and technical drawings.
- Repair Injection molding machines, robots, fixtures, and other auxiliary equipment related to the injection molding process.
- Modify , lubricate, diagnose, and operate equipment.
- Identify and requisition needed replacement parts and supplies.
- Work with other mechanics, production personnel, and engineering.
- Work with outside vendors and consultants as necessary.
- Perform regularly scheduled preventative maintenance.
- Work independently and with other team members to complete repairs timely and safely.
- Create and report repairs at end of shift. Complete required paperwork, document parts and material usage.
- Understand and follow plant safety practices and safe machine operation.
The TOOLS you’ll bring with you
Minimum two years’ experience in maintenance of mechanical/electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic production equipment, computers, robotics, and industrial controls equipment.
- Two plus years in injection molding equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
- Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.
- Ability to read and understand hydraulic & electrical schematics.
- Ability to troubleshoot automation PLC controls.
- Ability to operate lathes, milling machines, welders, and other shop equipment.
- General knowledge of safe working practices including Lock-Out/Tag Out.
- Minimum of two year s vocational certification in industrial maintenance, or related field.
- A sense of urgency with good time management skills.
- Excellent skills in working with interdisciplinary groups (Injection Molding, Tool Room, QA, MFG, Etc.)
- Computer Literate. Experience in Microsoft Office and Excel preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to interpret complex situations and execute actions and plans.
- Excellent project management skills – ability to manage timelines and meet deadlines.
- Must be flexible, able to work in a cross functional organization.
- Practical and academic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques and tools a plus
