About The Role
The Quality Improvement Specialist coordinates Q/PI activities and reports for clinical and nonclinical data, physician related activities, and external agencies as appropriate.
This job abstracts information and prepares and coordinates others who submit information for Clinical Databases, creates meaningful data and analyses utilizing external and internal databases, including ability to use report writers as appropriate, and displays data in a manner others can understand.
This position manages organizational data including data entry and import, reports and development of the Scorecard, Premier on-line applications, and other databases, represents Quality/PI on committees and improvement teams and ensures compliance with The Joint Commission Performance Improvement chapter.

Experience REQUIRED
Minimum 2 years of work experience in a healthcare environment with experience in the following areas
- Chart abstraction and analysis
- Clinical processes and/or other diagnostic and interventional treatment
- Performance improvement processes and tools
- Facilitating and/or leading interdisciplinary groups
- Collecting, organizing and analyzing data
- Developing and making presentations
- Previous experience using a personal computer and software application to include the Internet, e-mail, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) and graphics
Experience PREFERRED
5+ years in coding, data interaction, quality, process improvement
Education/training REQUIRED
Minimum of a high school diploma with applicable certification(s).

Compensation Range
$19.87 - $30.79 Actual salary offers will be based on several key factors to include relevant work experience, credentials, and qualifications.
