 Working Conditions:

Monday – Friday, 35hrs

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Business Partnering with Commercial leads, to ensure the delivery of financial information to support commercial decision making.

  • Act as the financial co-pilot that will; lead budgeting, financial forecasting, month end close with performance analysis.
  • Provide timely and actionable performance analysis on newly acquired Clients, Risks/Opportunities, Resource Utilisations, Gross Profit and the business drivers behind these like new regions, new technology, resource synergies etc.
  • Support & challenge commercial teams with management/control of pricing, discounts, and trade spend opportunities and effectiveness.
  • Lead the financial budgeting and planning process for the commercial team, ensuring that pricing, discount and trade spends are reflected accurately and are executed according to plan
  • Identify, evaluate and communicate risks and opportunities to the business in a timely manner
  • Challenge the status-quo; continuously look to reduce complexity and simplify our processes across planning, forecasting, reporting, performance measurement and including how we use our supporting systems and tools (i.e. SAP/S4, Media Pulse, VAULT ERP, Salesforce etc.) to drive greater focus on value added business partnering
  • Ensure adequacy of controls across Tech & Ops and strong stewardship and compliance. Ensure audits (internally and externally) are fully supported and action plans are being addressed (incl. SOX)
  • Build and foster solid business partnering relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Unusual Challenges or Circumstances

  • Must be prepared to work additional hours as required to meet deadlines.

Mandatory

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5 years' post-qualified experience (PQE).
  • Minimum 1 year of commercial finance experience.
  • Previous Commercial Finance management experience.
  • Proven business partnering experience supporting multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
  • Experience managing P&L ownership, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, ROI analysis, pricing structures and risk management.
  • Strong track record of delivering results within a commercial finance environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Lookup functions, conditional formulas, financial modelling and data analysis.
  • Experience using Power BI for reporting and analytics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear commercial insights and recommendations.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes and their financial impact.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a matrix organisation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including influencing senior leaders.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • High level of numeracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Calm and effective under pressure.
  • Flexible and adaptable, including occasional longer or irregular hours when required.
  • Collaborative team player with a positive and professional approach.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable

  • Experience within media, broadcasting, production, sports, events, advertising or related industries.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Experience working in high-volume, complex reporting environments.
  • Experience with SAP, S/4HANA, BPC or SAC.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce.
  • Experience with Tableau.
  • Understanding of emerging technologies and industry developments within media and finance.
  • Passion for sport.
