About The Role
Position Overview
A leading healthcare facility in Dubai is seeking an experienced and highly qualified Consultant Rheumatologist (American Board Certified) to join its specialist medical team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive consultation, diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of patients with rheumatologic and autoimmune disorders.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive consultations and clinical assessments for patients with musculoskeletal, autoimmune, and rheumatologic conditions.
- Diagnose and manage conditions including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, gout, lupus, spondyloarthritis, vasculitis, and connective tissue disorders.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on current clinical guidelines and patient needs.
- Monitor treatment response and adjust medications and therapies accordingly.
- Manage complex and chronic rheumatological cases and provide appropriate follow-up care.
- Perform and interpret relevant diagnostic investigations, including laboratory tests and imaging studies.
- Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, internal medicine specialists, physiotherapists, radiologists, and other multidisciplinary teams when required.
- Provide patient education regarding disease management, medication adherence, lifestyle modification, and preventive care.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in clinical meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education activities.
- Ensure compliance with Dubai healthcare regulations, clinical standards, and professional ethics.
Requirements
- MD/Doctor of Medicine or equivalent medical degree.
- American Board Certification in Rheumatology or recognized equivalent.
- Valid eligibility for Consultant Rheumatologist licensing in Dubai, preferably under the Dubai Health Authority (DHA).
- Relevant post-specialty clinical experience in Rheumatology.
- Strong expertise in managing complex rheumatologic and autoimmune conditions.
- Excellent diagnostic, clinical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
- Strong commitment to patient safety, quality care, and professional excellence.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
