  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner closely with Inside Sales Account Managers, Field Applications Scientists, Marketing, and other colleagues to deliver coordinated, high-quality customer engagement throughout the sales and adoption process.
  • Manage Pipeline and Forecasting: Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline using consultative selling methodologies. Deliver accurate forecasts and maintain timely CRM updates, funnel reporting, account activity, and competitive intelligence.
  • Represent Oxford Nanopore in the Market: Participate in regional seminars, workshops, conferences, and other scientific events to strengthen Oxford Nanopore’s visibility, relationships, and scientific credibility across Western Canada.
  • Maintain Training and Compliance Standards: Participate fully in required training programs and demonstrate proficiency as assessed. Manage administrative responsibilities, including expense reporting, CRM documentation, and adherence to company policies and applicable safety requirements.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or a related discipline; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of field-based commercial experience, including a minimum of 3 years selling scientific instrumentation, capital equipment, or other complex laboratory solutions.
  • Experience within the NGS market or a closely related scientific field is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex, consultative sales processes in competitive markets.
  • Experience developing and executing strategic account and territory plans.
  • Strong understanding of sales cycles, pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM systems.
  • Ability to understand scientific challenges and translate customer needs into practical commercial opportunities.
