About The Role
The New York County District Attorney’s Office (DANY) is seeking a highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Office Machine Operator to join the Reproduction Services Unit. Reporting to the Reproduction Services Supervisor, the Office Machine Operator is responsible for providing high-volume printing, copying, scanning, and document production services in support of the Office’s legal and administrative operations.
The successful candidate will possess strong organizational and customer service skills, maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive materials, and effectively manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Operate high-volume digital printers, copiers, scanners, and finishing equipment.
- Receive, prioritize, and process print, copy, and scanning requests for case and non-case related work.
- Produce legal documents, trial exhibits, case files, reports, training materials, presentations, and other agency documents.
- Perform document finishing services, including binding, collating, stapling, laminating, and booklet production.
- Conduct quality control reviews to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and professional presentation of all projects.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of paper, toner, and other reproduction supplies.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and coordinate service requests and repairs as necessary.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all records, documents, and materials processed by the Unit.
- Provide professional, responsive customer service to all Office personnel.
- Assist with special projects and perform other related duties as assigned.

- There are no formal education or experience requirements for this position. However, the ability to understand and carry out simple instructions is required.
- Candidates must be able to understand and be understood in English.
Preferred Requirements/Skills
- Experience operating high-volume production printers, copiers, scanners, and finishing equipment.
- Reprographic experience producing legal documents, trial exhibits, case files, reports, training materials, presentations, and other agency documents.
- Reprographic experience performing document finishing services, including binding, collating, stapling, laminating, and booklet production.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments, prioritize competing demands, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive legal documents and information.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move paper, boxes, and supplies weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks associated with document production and equipment operation.
- Hours/Shift: Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 4 PM

Minimum Qualification Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or
- Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" above.
