About The Role

The Sonographer will be responsible for conducting diagnostic ultrasound examinations, particularly in obstetrics and gynecology cases, to assist clinicians in evaluating and managing patients. The role requires expertise in prenatal screening, fetal anomaly detection, gynecological imaging, and general sonography procedures. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical competence, patient-centered care, and adherence to hospital protocols and UAE health authority standards.

Perform routine and specialized ultrasound examinations, including obstetric, gynecologic, and general scans.
Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and ensure proper documentation of findings.
Assist physicians with interventional ultrasound procedures when required.
Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort and safety.
Maintain accurate patient records, reports, and digital imaging archives.
Ensure proper operation, calibration, and maintenance of ultrasound equipment.
Follow infection control and radiation safety policies in compliance with UAE healthcare standards.
Collaborate with radiologists, obstetricians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnosis and patient care.
Participate in continuous professional development, training, and quality improvement initiatives.
Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical and professional conduct at all times.

Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Medical Imaging.
Must hold a valid DOH / DHA / MOH license as a Sonographer in the UAE.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in ultrasound imaging, with a strong focus on obstetrics and gynecology .
Experience working in a hospital or multi-specialty healthcare facility in the UAE preferred.
Proficiency in 2D, 3D, and Doppler ultrasound techniques.
Strong understanding of fetal growth assessment and anomaly detection.
Familiarity with PACS and RIS systems.
Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Compassionate and professional approach to patient care.
Proficiency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
