Junior General Ledger Accountant (Philippines)

We are looking for a Junior

General Ledger Accountant

to join our team and support our accounting operations. The primary focus of this role will be

cash reconciliation

, along with supporting general ledger activities and month-end processes. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their accounting skills in an international environment.

The position requires working in the EMEA

time zone.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly
• cash reconciliations
• and investigate discrepancies
• Support general ledger accounting activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Assist with identifying and resolving accounting discrepancies
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes
• Maintain accurate accounting records and follow established internal controls and procedures
• Assist with financial reporting and other accounting-related tasks as needed
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to resolve accounting issues

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience
• in accounting, preferably with some exposure to general ledger activities
• Basic understanding of general accounting principles and balance sheet reconciliations
• Good attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
• Good analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and gradually take ownership of assigned tasks

Preferred Experience

Experience with

NetSuite

and/or

FloQast

is a plus

Experience working in an international or U.S.-based accounting environment is a plus

Experience with cash or bank reconciliations is highly desirable
