About The Role
Join the Outsourcing and Vendor Management team supporting the International Consumer Bank.
As a Control Manager – Vendor Manager in the Outsourcing and Vendor Management team supporting the International Consumer Bank, you will be responsible for Outsourcing and Vendor Management. You will support outsourcing-related activities on behalf of the International Consumer Bank. In line with our culture of helping where the need arises, you will collaborate across the business to contribute to oversight and management of vendor and intra-group relationships, as well as regulatory reporting deliverables. Your analytical skills and adaptability will help you navigate ambiguity and change while supporting initiatives aligned to business goals.
Job responsibilities
- Support Outsourcing activities, including onboarding, due diligence, risk assessment, and ongoing vendor monitoring and help identify and escalate risks, supporting remediation actions and contingency planning.
- Build knowledge across outsourcing-related oversight, governance, and regulatory deliverables and support vendor contract review, negotiation preparation, and issue/problem resolution to help achieve favorable outcomes.
- Assist in building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors to foster collaboration and clear communication and support identification and mitigation of risks associated with vendor relationships, and contribute to cost oversight related to vendor services and products.
- Assist in representing the business in addressing and resolving issues or disputes, escalating as appropriate and help align Vendor Management activities with organizational goals and encourage vendors to innovate and improve their offerings.
- Support drafting metrics, status updates, and other reporting and participate in relevant Outsourcing governance forums and support effective coordination and collaboration with stakeholders.
- Support maintenance of the Outsourcing and Vendor Management frameworks and compliance with policies and understanding (through experience, internship, or relevant role exposure) in compliance, controls, or operational risk and ability to communicate with stakeholder groups at different levels; ability to support issue resolution in vendor relationships.
- Ability to analyze vendor performance data, market trends, and financial information; willingness to support negotiation activities and work closely with vendors and experience supporting or contributing to vendor relationship management.
- Skills in planning, organizing, and supporting Outsourcing and Vendor-related projects.
- Experience supporting identification and mitigation of risks associated with vendor relationships.
- Basic understanding of financial principles and budgeting and ability to support alignment of Outsourcing and Vendor Management activities with organizational goals.
- Familiarity with relevant technologies and systems used in Outsourcing and Vendor management.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Understanding (through experience, internship, or relevant role exposure) in compliance, controls, or operational risk and ability to communicate with stakeholder groups at different levels; ability to support issue resolution in vendor relationships.
- Ability to analyze vendor performance data, market trends, and financial information; willingness to support negotiation activities and work closely with vendors.
- Experience supporting or contributing to vendor relationship management.

- Basic understanding of financial principles and budgeting and ability to support alignment of Outsourcing and Vendor Management activities with organizational goals.
- Familiarity with relevant technologies and systems used in Outsourcing and Vendor management.
- Experience in Outsourcing, Vendor Management, procurement, supply chain management, or related fields and experience supporting change management and/or project management within an Agile environment.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 3+ years experience in a related field.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across teams and geographic locations.
- Understanding of IT environments is a plus.
- Understanding of the industry in which the organization operates.
- Proactive self-starter with ambition to develop in a fast-moving firmwide function.
- Planning, prioritization, and time-management skills.
- Good networking skills and initiative and bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
