To create this all-new automotive financing experience, we are gathering a team of world-class strategists, innovators, creators, and technicians and searching for a Director of Product, Commercial Payment Experience. This is a product management position with direct reports. You will lead Ford Credit's AI, data, product strategy, and financial services products and position Ford Credit as an industry leader in data-driven financial services.

REMOTE: We are looking for the best talent no matter where you are in the United States. Note this person will need to center their work hours to Eastern Standard Time zone and travel as required (mostly to the Dearborn, MI) approximately spending a week 6-10 times/year.
You Will...
You will be responsible and accountable for leading the product strategy and delivery of our digital payment, billing, and account self-servicing products and features for our (Ford Pro FinSimple) Commercial customers within fordpro.com. You will lead a team of Product Managers and work with cross-functional and business teams in a matrixed environment whilst owning the future vision and roadmap of your area. You will be expected to:
- Define and articulate clear long-term product vision and strategy for these areas, aligned with the company's strategy and business objectives.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive roadmap of multiple products prioritizing features based on business value, user needs, and technical feasibility.
- Identify meaningful opportunities for growth and improvement within the business. Develop the strategy, business case, and gain executive buy-in to drive and launch initiatives.
- Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate requirements into detailed product specifications.
- Leading internal and external outsourced teams across regions globally.
- Deeply understand the problems, with a data driven approach to size the impact, customer, and business value to be provided. Able to deep dive and drive initiatives hands-on.
- Champion requirement writing and articulation (Specs, PRDs and/or other documentation as the AI landscape shifts), use cases, and customer research to others. Advocates best practices across organization.
- Elevate Ford Credit's commercial product excellence by refining and scaling best-in-class product management practices. Spearhead initiatives to further mature the product organization, fostering a culture of innovation, data-driven decision making, and customer-centricity that reinforces Ford Credit's position as an industry leader.
- Identify key staffing and budgeting needs effectively for the team working with senior leaders. Able to attract talent to close these staffing needs.
- Lead and drive their team providing regular, constructive, and critical feedback and coaching to team members. This must include product skills, product documents and deliverables, technology skills, and product frameworks.
- Collaborate effectively with engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility and sound implementation of product features.
- Identifies issues, mitigates, and plans for them early, or escalates issues early enough to timely resolve them.
- Are a part of the extended leadership team at Ford. Considered a key contributor to that function. Communicate effectively with senior leadership, stakeholders, and team members, presenting compelling product visions, roadmaps, and updates.
- Create well-defined Product Requirements Documents, Business Case Documents, Strategy Documents, KPIs, OKRs, as well as features, user stories, metrics, and acceptance criteria, prioritizing them into release planning.
- Refine features and stories, participate in standups, iteration planning sessions, product demos, and retrospectives. Coaching their team on these practices.
- Speak up and help define the right processes to make things more efficient, including but not limited to things out of retrospectives on their teams.
You'll Have...
- Master’s degree or combination of experience and education. MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of experience as a Product Manager, with a proven track record of success in delivering impactful complex platform products.
- Deep expertise in commercial financial and banking products[RH1.1], direct and indirect lending, payment and billing platforms, industry trends, and competitive landscape in fleet management.
- Deep expertise in product roadmaps, customer journey analytics, and GTM product strategies.
- Strong knowledge in fleet management services leveraging connected vehicle data.
- Ability to secure executive buy-in, influence teams, and exceptional story-telling.
- Expertise in technical platforms, APIs, cloud services, technical products. Alternatively, have led engineering teams that built cloud services or custom software platform solutions, as a Product leader.
- Be comfortable to collaboratively develop tech POVs; and hold architectural discussions using latest technology tools and services.
- Be proficient with technology systems, system design, APIs, Non-functional requirements, data, big-data, data management and other architectural patterns. ML/AI experience preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Experience with platform products and growing adoption across an enterprise.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Software Development methodologies such as AgileSAFE methods and Scrum.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, fluid environment where priorities shift regularly.
- Ability to break down complex tasks or requirements into simpler, more manageable tasks identifying clear pros, cons, issues, obstacles, and dependencies. Fosters an environment of constant delivery and ownership in their areas. Able to help get things shipped and team members prioritize work in their key focus areas.
- Ability to deliver high-impact outcomes, make trade-offs and understand the importance of different work-streams, and thus effectively prioritize to deliver maximum business impact.

The Team
The Ford Motor Credit Company has a Product Organization, and this role falls in the US organization of that team. This role will report to the VP of Product, Commercial and will partner closely with engineering and business partners.
