Accounts Assistant

1.0 JOB SUMMARY

 Assisting the Finance department in accounts payable, accounts receivable and banking

2.0 RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensuring that all work is carried out to a high quality standard that meets the company and customer requirement
• Assisting with accounts payable
• Assisting with accounts receivable 
• Assisting with payroll functions
• Assisting with banking and reconciliation
• Administration tasks
• Any other tasks deemed necessary by management to perform your role

3.0 COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

• College graduate
• 3 Years of experience in similar role. Accounting experience. Accounts payable and/or payroll experience.
• Competent in Microsoft computer packages, primarily Excel
• Ability to work within a small team and use initiative
• Previous experience with NAV preferred but not essential
• Possess accounting skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Good level of computer literacy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized and able to multitask and meet deadlines
• Positive “can do” attitude
• Have good time management skills

4.0 SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

• Work within the safety-first environment / culture with other members of your team and encourage safe behaviour
• All incidents and near misses must be reported to management / safety as soon as practically possible
• Be familiar with, and adhere to Callidus safety policies/procedures and bulletins.
• Attend safety meetings
• Promptly close out any actions assigned
• Participate in fire drills
